Special Effects Supervision

Experience with international productions, having supervised projects filmed in Canada, China, Monaco, Mongolia, Romania and the U.S.A.

Pyrotechnics

Pyro for special effects, theatrical and public display. Specialization in miniature special effects pyro. Holder of California, Nevada and Federal explosives licenses.

Pyrotechnic Safety Training

Fire Safety Officer training courses conducted for the California State Fire Marshal and the Fire Departments of Ventura, Orange and Los Angeles Counties, and the Cities of Los Angeles and Burbank.

Electronics

Specialization in design, construction and programming of electronic control systems for special effects.

Work Experience:

1995-present

Special effects supervisor for feature films, television and commercials. Feature credits include Mercenary, Invader, The Legend of Galgameth, Back to Even, Pavilion of Women and Rain. Television credits include the visual effects department for HBO's From the Earth to the Moon. Additional projects are listed below.

1986-present

Freelance special effects technician. Pyrotechnician for special effects, theatrical and public display. Projects are listed below.

1994

Pyrotechnic supervisor for Stargate Films. Production of five live action computer games involving over two hundred miniature and full size pyro shots.

1992-1994

Pyrotechnic operator in charge for Six Flags Magic Mountain's Batman Nights Fireworks and Laser Show. Responsibilities included installation, maintenance, training of personnel, tracking inventory, overseeing the daily loading and operating the nightly show, using the Pyrodigital firing system.

1992-1994

Computing Coordinator for American Digital Media and Lol Creme Productions. Designed, built and programmed The Lolster, a multimedia production system. Generated computer animated commercials. Designed and programmed interactive computer games.

1985-1993

Effects technician for Cinnabar Special Effects. Active in all aspects of special effects work. Staff pyrotechnician. Foreman of the electronics shop. Designed, built and programmed numerous electronic control systems.
